DealerList AI

Getting Started Guide

Setup takes about 10 minutes. After that, posting a vehicle to Facebook Marketplace takes under 2 minutes.

1

2 min
  1. Your admin gave you two things: your work email and a temporary password.
  2. Go to dealerlist.ai and click Sign In (top right).
  3. Enter the email and temporary password, then click Enter Console.
Do this first: change your password. Sidebar → SettingsAccount Security → enter the temporary password, then your new one (10+ characters). Use the new password everywhere from now on — including in the Chrome extension.

Install the Chrome extension

3 min, one time
  1. Open DealerList AI on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, find DealerList AI, and click the 📌 pin next to it — the car icon now stays visible in your toolbar.
  3. Click the car icon and sign in with your work email and password. The icon turns blue when you're in.

under 2 min
  1. Log into your own Facebook → Marketplace → Create new listing → Vehicle for sale.
  2. Click the blue car icon, pick the vehicle, and hit 🚀 Post to Facebook Marketplace.
  3. Price, mileage, description and the main photo fill instantly. The on-page card shows the dropdown values (year, make, body style…) to pick.
  4. Add extra photos if you have them.

The form fills itself — you just review it.
You always press Publish yourself. The extension never publishes for you — nothing goes out under your name without your click. After publishing, hit ✓ Mark as listed in DealerList in the popup so the listing is credited to you on the leaderboard.

Troubleshooting

The car icon is grey / clicking does nothing
Grey means signed out. Click the icon and sign in with your work email and password. If the popup looks stuck, refresh the web page you're on and click the icon again.
It says "signed in elsewhere"
Your login is active on another computer — only one computer can use it at a time. Just sign in again on this one; the other computer gets signed out. If that keeps happening, someone else may be using your login — tell your admin.
Facebook fields aren't filling
Stay on the Facebook tab while it fills — if the tab is in the background, Facebook stops drawing its menus and they can't be filled. Keep the tab in front until the card says it's done.
The Model box filled in, then went blank, then filled again
Normal. Facebook re-checks that field, so the extension fills it twice on purpose. Let it finish.
Price or mileage was left empty
Also on purpose: if the dealer site doesn't show a price or mileage, we leave the box empty and flag it instead of guessing — a wrong number on a live listing is worse than a blank. Type it in yourself before publishing.
Some photos are missing
The extension takes every photo the dealer website has for that exact vehicle. If the site only has three photos, you get three. Add your own from your phone — listings with 10+ photos get more messages.
It filled details from the wrong car
Check which vehicle is selected in the popup before pressing 🚀 Post to Facebook Marketplace. One vehicle at a time — the highlighted one is what gets filled.
Posting several cars — can I do them all at once?
Queue up to 5 with Select all for posting. They post one after another — finish and publish each listing before the next one starts. Don't close the Facebook tab mid-queue.
None of that fixed it
In order: sign out and back into the extension → restart Chrome → try the same vehicle on dealerlist.ai's Marketplace Filler (if it works there, the problem is the Facebook tab). Still stuck? Tell your admin or email support@owl360it.com with the vehicle and a screenshot.

FAQ

Does the extension press Publish for me?
Never. It fills the form; you review it and press Publish yourself. Nothing goes out under your name without your click.
Is this allowed on Facebook?
The extension types into the form in your own browser, in your own account, and you approve every listing by hand. You stay in control of everything that gets published.
Do I use my own Facebook account?
Yes — listings post from your personal Facebook, which is why buyers message you directly. Keep your account in good standing: real name, real photo, no spammy behaviour.
Why did my login stop working on my home computer?
One computer at a time. Signing in at the dealership signed out your home computer. Sign in again wherever you are and that becomes your active computer.
Where do leads show up?
Buyers message your Facebook inbox directly. Reply fast — then log the serious ones with your manager so they count toward your numbers.
A car sold — what do I do?
Two things: ✓ Mark as Sold in Inventory, and delete your Facebook listing for it. Sold cars still listed = angry customers and wasted messages.
Does the extension update by itself?
Yes — Chrome updates it automatically from the Web Store. You never need to reinstall.
I forgot my password
Your admin can issue a new temporary password in 30 seconds. Sign in with it, then set your own in Settings → Account Security.
